The Laghu Udyog Bharati of Valsad district organized a detailed workshop on 21/9/24 at Centre of Excellence , focusing on the *growth and empowerment of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises)*. The event aimed to provide vital information to district industries on how to take advantage of government schemes, incentives, and opportunities to foster growth, innovation, and sustainability in the MSME sector.
The workshop featured Mrs. Manishamem, the District Manager of GIDC (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation), who presented in-depth insights into GIDC’s initiatives aimed at supporting the growth and empowerment of MSMEs. She discussed key policies, infrastructure development, and opportunities for businesses to expand within GIDC industrial estates. Mr. Miteshbhai Ladani, the Joint Commissioner and General Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC), also addressed the audience, highlighting various MSME-focused schemes and incentives offered by the government, emphasizing how these programs are designed to enable businesses to scale up and become competitive in both local and global markets.
The event was graced by several prominent guests. Shri Ishwarbhai Sajjan, the General Secretary of Laghu Udyog Bharati Gujarat Pradesh, delivered an insightful speech on how MSMEs are the backbone of the economy and stressed the importance of innovation and sustainability for long-term growth. Shri Mehulbhai Patel, the President of Laghu Udyog Bharati Valsad district, along with his team, played a key role in organizing the event. Representatives from various regional units of Laghu Udyog Bharati, including those from Gundlav, Pardi, Vapi, Sarigam, Umargaon, Daman, and Silvassa, were also present to offer support and share their experiences of MSME growth in their respective areas.
Additionally, Presidents and General Secretaries from various Industry Associations, along with their teams, participated in the event, showcasing their commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem. Former presidents and office bearers of Laghu Udyog Bharati, as well as representatives from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), attended the workshop, alongside a large number of local industrialists.
